Vision – A future where no child dies suddenly and unexpectedly during pregnancy, infancy or in childhood. Our Purpose – Saving the lives of babies and children and supporting people impacted by the death of a child.
- Children's Cancer Institute

Donation Code: BHRCCCI
Every year 950 Australian children and adolescents will be diagnosed with cancer. Every week nearly three Australian children and adolescents will die of cancer. Our organisation exists solely to put an end to childhood cancer. We don’t just hope to do it. We will do it. And we are making great strides. Sixty years ago, cancer was nearly always a death sentence for a child. Now eight out of 10 children survive. What made that huge difference? Medical research. As the only independent medical research institute in Australia wholly dedicated to childhood cancer, our role is vital. Because, despite our progress, cancer still kills more children than any other disease. Our task won’t be easy – childhood cancer is hugely complex – but we’re confident that with the brightest brains, the best facilities and the greatest determination, we will get the job done. It’s not if. It’s when.

- Domestic Violence Crisis Service
Donation Code: BHRCDVCS
Domestic Violence Crisis Service (DVCS) is an inclusive service working with children, young people and adults to reduce harm arising from domestic and family violence in the ACT. DVCS was established in 1988 and has provided assistance to thousands of women, men and children who have experienced domestic and family violence in their lives via their 24/7 telephone crisis counselling service and access to emergency accommodation. DVCS has two dedicated staff located at the ACT Magistrates Court able to assist people when applying for a Family Violence Order (previously known as a Domestic Violence Order) and to provide support to people who have been subjected to violence who are required to give evidence in the criminal court. More recently DVCS has commenced providing women, men and children with support groups and programs ranging from therapeutic support to practical self-help skills. DVCS commenced their Staying@Home program which supports women and their families to stay safe in their own home after the end of a violent relationship in mid-2016. In 2017 DVCS opened their doors to Room4Change, a program that provides one on one and group time for men to address their use of controlling and/or violent behaviour. This program allows men to maintain their employment, relationships and regular activities. Men can opt to live in one of our therapeutic homes throughout the six to nine month program. DVCS is a not-for-profit organisation that receives Government funding, but relies heavily on the generosity of the community to provide more support groups and programs and client assistance such as hotel brokerage and care packages.
